Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 21, BYD saw its SONG PRO DM-i model officially hit the Mexican market. This follows the global debut of the BYD SHARK pickup truck in Mexico in May, further expanding BYD's lineup of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in the local market.

During the launch event, Jorge Vallejo, General Director of BYD Mexico, highlighted the achievements of BYD as a global leader in NEVs and reaffirmed the company's commitment to deepening its presence in the Mexican market. Ana Narro, PR Manager of BYD Mexico, showcased the aesthetic design and intelligent driving features of the Song Pro DM-i to the guests. Óscar Hernández, Product Leader of BYD Mexico, showcased the new vehicle's core technologies and handling capabilities.

The BYD SONG PRO DM-i embodies the "Dragon Face" design philosophy of BYD's Dynasty series, featuring dynamic, layered lines that create a balanced body and a robust stance. The front "dragon beard" styling and the integrated taillight design give the SONG PRO DM-i a youthful and vibrant appearance. Equipped with BYD's DM-i super hybrid technology, the vehicle offers outstanding overall range and practicality, making it an ideal choice for family travel, said the carmaker.

The event also featured demonstrations of various BYD core technologies and provided a raft of interactive experiences. Guests could explore areas like the VTOL (vehicle to load) dance zone, a mobile karaoke room, a camping experience area, and a tech exploration space, showcasing the SONG PRO DM-i's advantages in electrification, intelligence, and safety.

Currently, BYD has opened 26 sales outlets across Mexico, underscoring its commitment to growing its footprint in the region.
