Shanxi Xingneng Recalls 39 Sets of Defective LFP Battery Packs for Electric Bicycles Due to Safety Risks

[Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP): Shanxi Xingneng Recalls LFP Battery Packs for Electric Bicycles] On July 26, 2024, Shanxi Xingneng New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. voluntarily submitted a recall plan to the Shanxi Provincial Market Supervision and Administration Bureau in accordance with the requirements of the "Interim Provisions on the Administration of Consumer Product Recalls." Effective immediately, Xingneng is recalling a total of 39 sets of 48V20Ah lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs produced under the "Tuxing" brand between August 15 and August 22, 2022. These battery packs are being recalled due to a raw material issue that has caused their short-circuit protection to malfunction. When consumers use electric bicycles equipped with these battery packs, they may suddenly fail to function normally, posing a potential safety risk that could lead to traffic accidents.
