Foton Motor launches TUNLAND pickup range in Mexico

Recently, BAIC Group’s commercial vehicle arm Foton Motor held a grand launch event in Mexico for its TUNLAND series of pickups.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Recently, BAIC Group’s commercial vehicle arm Foton Motor held a grand launch event in Mexico for its TUNLAND series of pickups. The company introduced the TUNLAND V and TUNLAND G series, featuring its first hybrid full-size pickup, along with the TUNLAND E5 electric pickup to the local market.

The TUNLAND V is equipped with advanced driver assistance functions such as ACC (adaptive cruise control), AEB (automatic emergency braking), and LKA (lane-keeping assist), achieving L2.5 autonomous driving capabilities. The model boasts a 14.6-inch smart display, an intelligent voice interaction system, and ambient lighting, offering an immersive in-car experience. Moreover, the TUNLAND V features enhanced NVH performance by 15% and six airbags.

On the other hand, the TUNLAND G series, supported by a robust powertrain and technology, is designed for both everyday use and off-road adventures. It features the AUCAN diesel engine developed with Ricardo, paired with ZF’s 8AT/6MT transmissions, delivering a maximum power of 162hp and a peak torque of 388N·m, ensuring high performance with low fuel consumption. The Bosch injection system meets Euro 6E emission standards, while the BorgWarner 4WD system offers 2H/AUTO/4H/4L driving modes to handle diverse terrains. Safety features include six airbags, pre-tensioned seat belts, Bosch ESP, and advanced driver assistance systems, ensuring user protection. The ergonomic heated seats and 10.25-inch HD multifunction touchscreen enhance driving comfort.

Following its successful launch in the European market, Foton Motor aims to solidify its presence in the global pickup market through the introduction of the TUNLAND G series in Mexico.

As a strong force in the Mexican commercial vehicle market, Foton Motor offers a comprehensive product line including heavy, medium, and light-duty trucks, pickups, and new energy vehicles. These products serve various sectors such as logistics, transportation, and construction, meeting the diverse needs of the Mexican market.
