DCE iron ore futures were weaker today. The most-traded I2701 contract settled at 674 yuan/mt, down 0.81% from the previous session. Qingdao port spot prices fell about 2 yuan/mt on average. Traders were reluctant to offer while mill enquiries were reasonable, leaving overall trading thin.
SMM survey data this week showed iron ore demand still weak.

The PBOC issued a public market outright reverse repo tender announcement stating that, to maintain ample liquidity in the banking system, on October 15, 2026, the People's Bank of China will conduct a 700 billion yuan outright reverse repo operation through fixed quantity, interest rate tender, and multiple price bidding, with a tenor of 6 months (182 days) and a maturity date of April 15, 2027 (postponed in case of holidays).

Menurut data bank sentral, pada akhir September, saldo uang beredar luas (M2) mencapai 359,63 triliun yuan, naik 7,2% YoY. Saldo uang beredar sempit (M1) mencapai 116,76 triliun yuan, naik 3,2% YoY. Saldo uang kartal (M0) mencapai 15,02 triliun yuan, naik 10,6% YoY. Injeksi kas bersih dalam tiga kuartal pertama mencapai 922,1 miliar yuan.
