Binhai Energy Forecasts First-Half 2024 Profit Turnaround, Driven by Business Restructuring and Market Expansion

Binhai Energy (000695) has released its earnings forecast for the first half of 2024, estimating a net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company ranging from 1.35 million yuan to 2 million yuan. This represents a turnaround from a loss of 7.7909 million yuan in the same period last year, achieving profitability year-on-year. Basic earnings per share are expected to be between 0.0061 yuan/share and 0.0090 yuan/share. The main reasons for the change in the company's performance during this reporting period are: compared with the same period last year, the company has divested its severely loss-making packaging and printing business, resulting in a reduction in losses; the expansion of customer base in the anode material business has been successful, with the commissioning of self-built graphitization capacity, leading to an expansion of business scale and an improvement in profitability.
