Xinjiang Unveils 150MW/600MWh Energy Storage EPC Bidding Projects

【150MW/600MWh! Two Separate Energy Storage EPC Bidding Projects in Xinjiang】SMM has learned that on July 12, two separate energy storage EPC bidding announcements were released in Xinjiang, including the 115,000 kW/460,000 kWh independent new energy storage construction project in Bole City and the 35,000 kW/140,000 kWh independent new energy storage construction project in Alashankou. The bidding company is Green Energy Neutral New Energy Co., Ltd.

The combined total scale of the two projects is 150MW/600MWh. Among them, the capital source for the 115,000 kW/460,000 kWh independent new energy storage construction project is self-raised funds of 736 million yuan, equivalent to a unit price of approximately 1.6 yuan/Wh. The capital source for the 35,000 kW/140,000 kWh independent new energy storage construction project is self-raised funds of 238 million yuan, equivalent to a unit price of approximately 1.7 yuan/Wh.

At Intersolar South America in Brazil (Aug 25-27), around 20 Chinese energy storage companies exhibited. Chuneng New Energy signed agreements with four partners, including MOUs with Argentina's Intermepro and Brazil's ION Energy and JSN Energia, plus a 1.5GWh cell framework deal with Windey Energy to supply cells for its first overseas storage plant in Bahia, Brazil. With a fragile grid, a 20.6% curtailment rate and the world's second-highest residential power prices, Brazil will launch Latin America's largest national storage tender (about 18GW in round one) in December 2026, drawing CATL, Trina, Hithium, CLOU, Gotion and Great Power to expand locally.
