On June 20th, Zhang Jianhua, the director of the National Energy Administration, said at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office that the agency will balance energy security and low-carbon transformation, promote high-quality energy development from both supply and demand sides, and focus on energy conservation and carbon reduction on the consumption side. They will continue to promote the transformation and upgrading of energy use methods, deeply promote the substitution of electricity in the fields of industry, construction, transportation, and agriculture, and enhance the charging service guarantee capability of electric vehicles. By 2025, about 12 million charging infrastructures will be built across the country. Through the joint efforts of all parties, it is hoped that by 2025, the level of terminal energy electrification will be increased to about 30%.
