SMM Daily Review: Some types of coking coal continue to weaken, and there are still expectations of price reductions for coke

Today, the coking coal market as a whole remained stable, with some individual coal types experiencing slight decreases. Looking at the supply side, due to poor downstream demand, a few upstream coal mines and washing plants reduced their production to support prices, resulting in a slight contraction in coking coal supply. On the demand side, as downstream coke enterprises continue to operate at low levels, short-term demand for coking coal is expected to remain low. Therefore, in the short term, coking coal prices are still likely to be suppressed by downstream demand, continuing to operate in a stable but weak manner.
