According to the import ore profit table of SMM, the import ore profit has been substantially restored; According to the latest shipping data from SMM, the total global iron ore shipments last week were 33.83 million tons, an increase of 12.3% compared to the previous week. The shipments from Australia and Brazil both saw significant increases. The total amount of Chinese iron ore arrivals at port from SMM was 23.3 million tons, a decrease of 4.13% compared to the previous period. Although the arrival volume has decreased, it is still at a normal quarterly level. The impact of supply on iron ore prices is limited. However, the announcement of the PMI data over the weekend, showing an overall PMI value exceeding expectations, has raised concerns in the market about a weak future policy. But news emerged yesterday afternoon that special government bonds would be issued in mid-month, boosting market sentiment and causing a significant increase in ore prices. Considering the short-term impact of the news and minimal changes in the short-term fundamentals of iron ore, it is expected that the price of ore may have difficulty sustaining its rise, and short-term volatility may continue, with a risk of weakening import ore profits.
