SMM Analysis: Leading Aluminum Cable Manufacturer Continues Production during Chinese New Year, but Post-Holiday Industry Orders Fall Below Expectations
According to SMM research and statistics, the comprehensive operating rate of the domestic aluminum cable industry decreased by 7 percentage points to 42.17% in February 2024 compared to the previous month, but increased by 5 percentage points year-on-year. February is the month of the Chinese New Year holiday, during which most aluminum cable companies enter a vacation period for the year. After the holiday, production gradually resumes, but with the added impact of logistical disruptions during the holiday period, reduced terminal deliveries, and the industry entering a slow season, the operating rate has significantly dropped.
