Brazil reaches 40 GW photovoltaic milestone
According to the latest data from the ABSSolar association, Brazil's operational photovoltaic installed capacity has exceeded 40 GW. Approximately 27.5 GW of installed capacity comes from distributed generation photovoltaic systems, including all installations with a capacity of less than 5 MW in Brazil. Small micro-generation plants with a capacity of less than 75 kW account for 22.7 GW, distributed across 2.4 million systems. The utility-scale solar installed capacity in the country is approximately 12.5 GW. Currently, solar energy represents 17.4% of Brazil's power structure.
