Pingmei Coal Group: Gas Outburst Accident Occurred in Subsidiary Company

On January 14th, Pingmei Coal Group announced that on January 12th at 14:51, a coal and gas outburst accident occurred during the production process at its subsidiary company, the Twelve Mine. As of now, after all-out search and rescue efforts, the accident has resulted in 13 confirmed fatalities and 3 missing persons. Rescue efforts are still underway to locate the missing persons. Emergency rescue operations are still ongoing. The company has ordered immediate suspension of production at 13 high-gas mines and coal and gas outburst mines, and has organized a special safety risk assessment for these mines, as well as a thorough investigation of potential accident hazards.
