Southwest Aluminum Implements Photovoltaic Power Generation to Optimize Energy Structure

Telah Terbit: Jan 4, 2024 19:49
Southwest Aluminum has made its first attempt to optimize its energy structure using photovoltaic power generation. The project is built on the roof of the factory building of the cold tandem mill production line in both 'self-generation and self-use' and BOO modes, with a total installed capacity of 5.6 megawatts, which can provide approximately 3.76 million kilowatt hours of green electricity annually. Compared with conventional electricity, it can save about 1135 tons of standard coal, reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2185 tons, and reduce emissions of sulfur dioxide by 0.38 tons and nitrogen oxides by 0.57 tons. Southwest Aluminum adheres to the concept of green development and has achieved outstanding results in basic management in recent years. Under the guidance of the national '3060' dual carbon targets, photovoltaics as a low-carbon alternative to conventional energy sources are being more widely used. Southwest Aluminum actively responds to the government's call and has conducted multiple assessments of the feasibility of building photovoltaic power stations in old factory buildings. The successful commissioning of this photovoltaic power generation project demonstrates Southwest Aluminum's social responsibility and has a positive promoting effect on energy conservation, carbon reduction, and green development.
