On October 11th local time, Guizhou Electric Construction signed an EPC and operation and maintenance contract with Mainstream, an Irish developer, for the 67.3GW Ilifu photovoltaic project in South Africa. The project is located 20 kilometers northeast of Paarl Town in the Free State of South Africa and is part of the South African government's incentive program for private IPP power plants, providing clean power supply to local factories and mines and contributing to South Africa's alleviation of power crisis and promotion of economic and social development.
The Ilifu 67.3GW photovoltaic project is the second phase of the 123.2GW Damlagte photovoltaic project currently being implemented by Guizhou Electric Construction. The EPC and operation and maintenance contract for the first phase was signed in July this year. Through the good performance of the first phase, the owner fully recognized the brand strength of China Electric Construction and the progress of the previous work of Guizhou Electric Construction, and decided to cooperate more deeply.
