Spot Premiums In Shanghai Zinc Market Moved At Lows

Mainstream traded prices of #0 zinc were 21980~22080 yuan/mt today, with 22030~22140 yuan/mt for Shuangyan zinc, and 21910~22010 yuan/mt for #1 zinc. In the morning trading, spot zinc was offered with small discounts over the average SMM zinc price and with premiums of 180~190 yuan/mt over the SHFE 2310 zinc contract.

During the second trading session, regular domestic brands were quoted with premiums of 180~190 yuan/mt over the SHFE 2310 zinc contract. Shuangyan zinc was quoted with premiums of 240 yuan/mt over the contract. Zinc prices have fallen back today, and downstream companies just needed to purchase a small amount.

As the holiday is approaching and the price spread between the SHFE front-month and SHFE next-month contracts widened, a small number of traders sold off goods. Some companies have closed. Trading was quiet.
