The New South Wales Government In Australia Will Increase Mining Rights Taxes

According to foreign media reports, the government of New South Wales in Australia recently stated that starting from July 1 next year, the state’s mining rights tax for open-pit coal mines, underground mines, and deep mines will generally increase by 2.6 percentage points. After the adjustment, the mining right tax for open-pit coal mines will reach 10.8%, compared to 8.2% currently, 9.8% for underground mines, compared to 7.2% currently, and the mining right tax for deep mines will also be raised from the current 6.2% to 8.8%.
