Operating Rate Of Die-Casting Zinc Alloy Plants Fell

The average operating rate of die-casting zinc alloy plants recorded 43.75% last week, a drop of 0.61 percentage point from the prior week. Galvanising plants purchased raw materials cautiously amid high zinc prices. In terms of operating rates, most enterprises maintained normal production last week.

Some enterprises increased production capacity. Manufacturers in some areas of Fujian temporarily stopped production for 2-7 days in case of the typhoon, thus the overall operating rate of die-casting zinc alloy plants declined. Sales of alloys declined and inventories of finished products accumulated. As most enterprises will resume production this week after the typhoon, the overall operating rates will increase.
