MMG: Total copper output in the second quarter increased by 109% year-on-year, total zinc output decreased by 7%

MMG released its second-quarter production report on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on the evening of July 24. According to the announcement: Compared with the first quarter of 2023, all MMG mines have achieved production growth. In the second quarter of this year, the company's total copper output (including copper cathode and copper concentrate) was 92,847 mt, an increase of 109% over the same period last year.

Production at Las Bambas was up 153% year-over-year, with mining operating at full capacity as social stability returned and the mine achieved its highest quarterly beneficiation process since 2019, driven by various operational improvements, including a third ball mill quantity.
