SHANGHAI, May 4 (SMM) – The total inventory of rebar across social warehouses and steel makers in China stood at 9.39 million mt as of Thursday May 4, down 103,000 mt or 1.1% from a week ago, and down 20% from the same period last year.

The inventory across social warehouses was 6.51 million mt, down 109,900 mt or 1.66% on the week, and a drop of 21.8% on the year.

The in-plant inventory stood at 2.87 million mt, up 6,900 mt or 0.2% on the week, and down 18.4% on the year.
