Price Drop Of Battery Cells In China Accelerate In March  

SHANGHAI, Apr 19 (SMM) - In March, the prices of various types of battery cells fell at a faster pace than in February. The prices of lithium battery materials maintained a downward trend, driving down the costs of battery cells sharply. For example, the material costs of 5-series and 8-series NMC battery cells dropped 18% and 12% respectively, and those of LFP battery cells declined more than 10%. In response to steadily falling battery cell costs, e-bike and NEV manufacturers restocked only as needed, and many re-negotiated or even cancelled orders.
