Total Energy issued a statement on April 5 saying that the company reached an agreement with the Iraqi government to promote an investment plan worth about 10 billion US dollars, aimed at promoting Iraq's oil, natural gas and electricity production. Under the agreement, Iraq's state-owned Basra Petroleum Company will hold a 30% stake in the Gas Growth Integrated Project, Qatar Energy will hold 25% and Total Energy will hold 45%.
