Zhu Zhongming, vice minister of finance, said that at present, there are still many uncertain and unpredictable factors in the energy market, and thus zero tariffs on coal imports will be sustained from April 1 to the end of this year, which will generally help support the safe and stable supply of domestic coal. In the next step, the Ministry of Finance will continue to track the implementation of the zero-tariff policy on coal imports in accordance with the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, and take overall consideration of the safe and stable supply of energy and green and low-carbon development, so as to make better use of tariffs in coordinating the domestic and international markets.
