More Alumina Will Flow from South China to North China as Price Difference Between the Two Regions Widens

SHANGHAI, Apr 3 (SMM) – In south-west China, one deal was struck at 2,790 yuan/mt, which was 10 yuan/mt lower than the previous transaction, and the buyer is from north China. The price difference between north and south China has widened to 160 yuan/mt, close to the freight rates between the two regions, hence more alumina in south China may be sold to north China in the future.
