China Acted to Push Innovation and Development of New Material Industry

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organised a national key platform work meeting for new materials to discuss the work of key platforms for new materials with higher quality and promote the innovation and development of the new material industry.

The meeting pointed out that the new material industry is a strategic and basic industry, and accelerating the development of the new material industry is of great significance for ensuring the security of the industrial chain and supply chain.

In recent years, China has laid out and built 18 production and application demonstration platforms, 13 test and evaluation platforms and one resource sharing platform, promoting a batch of key materials to accelerate production and application convergence and verification, as well as developing a batch of key common technologies. That served 77,000 small and medium-sized enterprises, effectively supporting the continuous expansion of the new material industry.
