SHANGHAI, Mar 27 (SMM) - Spot quotes in north China inched lower last week. Spot copper was quoted with discounts of 200 yuan/mt to premiums of 20 yuan/mt, or an average discount of 90 yuan/mt, on March 17, and was quoted with discounts of 260-40 yuan/mt, or an average discount of 150 yuan/mt on March 24, 60 yuan/mt lower than a week earlier.
Sellers lowered spot quotes to make transactions as higher copper prices had weakened downstream buying interest. Overall, the trading activity last week underperformed the previous week.
