Global Iron Ore Shipments Rose 16.1% Week-on-Week to 31.37 Million mt during February 18-24

SHANGHAI, Feb 27 (SMM) – SMM statistics showed that the global iron ore shipments totalled 31.37 million mt in the week ending February 24, an increase of 16.1% week-on-week.

The four major mining companies shipped a combined 21.77 million mt of iron ore last week, an increase of 2.6 million mt from a week earlier.

Iron ore arrivals at Chinese ports dropped 9.39% on a weekly basis to 25.85 million mt last week.
