CATL Accounted for 48.7% of Domestic NEV Power Battery Market Share in Jan

China Passenger Car Association (CPAC) and Kerui Consulting recently jointly released a research report on NEV market in January 2023. The report points out that the share of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells used in passenger cars recorded a sharp increase. The report also mentions that the overall installed capacity of NEV power batteries dipped in January, but CATL still maintained its leading position.

To be specific, 13.6GWh of NEV power batteries were installed in January, down 6.5% year-on-year. While most companies saw a year-on-year decline in sales during the period, CATL still topped with a 48.7% market share. The installed capacity of EVE Energy rose with its AIONS car model installed with batteries, making it a battery cell marker with the largest increase among the top 10 companies in January.
