SHANGHAI, Jun 6(SMM) -
Prices of lithium carbonate rose slightly last week and inquires were active in the market. The terminal demand picked up as the pandemic situation in Jiangsu and Zhangjiang improved.
The production scheduling at cathode material companies that mainly produce LFP rebounded. Meanwhile, as new production lines of non-cathode material plants are about to be put into production, enterprises started to make inquiries, boosting the overall purchasing demand.
Some of the small and medium sized plants traded at high prices on rigid demand. Upstream lithium salt plants raised their quotations.
In details, large plants raised prices steadily while small plants were more aggressive, and they remained bullish on the prices.
The downstream material plants restocked according to the demand, with value of a single transaction higher than the week before. The prices are expected to rise steadily amid the booming demand.
