On March 31, Maanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. took the lead in the national "14th five-year Plan" key research and development plan "Intelligent Sensor" special project "Development and demonstration application of sensing technology for on-line detection of key parameters of special steel production". Held a start-up meeting and implementation plan evaluation meeting. The person in charge of the project and five projects reported and exchanged the project and project implementation plan, and Academician Wang Haizhou, head of the project consulting expert group, gave high expectations and positive comments on the implementation of the project. The successful application of this project will greatly improve the "efficient, intelligent and green" level of Maanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.
The key R & D plan of the 14th five-year Plan is a key scientific research project established by the Ministry of Science and Technology to implement the "four aspects", focus on the urgent need of the national strategy, and lead to key technological breakthroughs. At the beginning of 2021, the science and technology team of Maanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. focused on the on-line monitoring technology of key parameters of special steel production such as high-speed rail wheels of Maanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., jointly with China Steel Research and Development Corporation, Shenyang Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing University of Science and Technology, Metallurgical Automation Research and Design Institute and other well-known domestic scientific research institutions, applied for the special project of "Smart Sensor" of the national key research and development program, which was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology at the end of December last year.
The project period is three years. After the application of the results, the adjustment period of special steel refining process of Maanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. can be shortened by 30%, the improvement period of continuous casting process can be shortened by 50%, the rolling waste can be reduced by 20%, and the energy consumption can be reduced by 5% by improving processing efficiency. Carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced by 50,000 tons a year. The implementation of the project "Development and demonstration Application of on-line Detection and Sensing Technology for key parameters of Special Steel production" will play an important demonstration role in effectively improving the intelligent level of China's high-speed wheel and special steel manufacturing.
High-speed rail wheel is not only a strategic product of Maanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., but also an important part of national transportation. As a special steel material, high-speed rail wheel has high production technical requirements, production difficulty and high service safety performance requirements. In recent years, Maanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. has organized scientific and technological forces to independently develop China's standardized high-speed rail wheels, passed the operation examination, and won China's first CRCC certificate for high-speed rail wheels.
In front of the results, Maanshan Iron and Steel did not stop. On the basis of tackling the above key problems and solving the key technical problems, the science and technology team of Maanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. aims at the goal of "efficient, intelligent and green", intelligent and efficient monitoring of manufacturing key process parameters, accurate forecast feedback to guide precise adjustment, to ensure the continuous and stable production of high-quality wheel steel, as a new direction of technical research. As the lead unit of the project, Magang attaches great importance to it, assumes the responsibility, allocates resources, and will work closely with the project cooperation unit to tackle key problems, gather wisdom, and go all out to complete the assessment indicators of the project with high quality.
