Suining High-tech Zone: focus on promoting Lithium Power Industry to expand capacity and increase efficiency

[Suining High-tech Zone: focus on promoting the capacity expansion and efficiency of Lithium Power Industry] recently, "Suining City's 14th five-year Plan for the Development of Lithium Power Industry" has been issued and implemented. The "Plan" points out that during the 14th five-year Plan period, Suining City of Sichuan Province will be led by the terminal use of Suining Economic Development Zone and High-tech Zone, promote the development of the whole life cycle and the whole industry chain, and accelerate the expansion of lithium power industry clusters.

Recently, the Development Plan of Lithium Power Industry in Suining City during the 14th five-year Plan was issued and implemented. The "Plan" points out that during the 14th five-year Plan period, Suining City of Sichuan Province will be led by the terminal use of Suining Economic Development Zone and High-tech Zone, promote the development of the whole life cycle and the whole industry chain, and accelerate the expansion of lithium power industry clusters.

It is understood that during the 13th five-year Plan period, Suining continued to enlarge the advantages in the field of upstream materials, rapidly gathered enterprises in the middle and lower reaches of the traction industry chain, and initially formed the industrial development pattern of "lithium ore-material-battery-terminal-recycling". There are three lithium power enterprises in Suining High-tech Zone Industrial Park, namely, Sichuan Fenjia Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd., Sichuan Baishige New Energy Co., Ltd., and Sichuan Xinshunlin Technology Co., Ltd. Among them, Bai Sige and Xinshunlin are new storage enterprises in 2021.

As a mid-stream enterprise in the production of hard carbon anode materials, Sichuan Bai Sige New Energy Co., Ltd. focuses on ultra-fast lithium-filled anode materials to solve the pain points of the industry. Wang Meng, general manager of the company, said that at present, the company has produced 200 tons of fast-filled long-life carbon anode materials with an output value of 6 million yuan, and is actively promoting the construction of the second phase of the project. It is expected that the trial production conditions will be reached in August this year, when the annual production capacity of 20, 000 tons of hard carbon materials can be achieved, with an annual output value of not less than 400 million yuan.

According to the person in charge of the Science and Technology Innovation and Development Bureau of Suining High-tech Zone, at present, the park is actively docking highly intelligent lithium battery coating, semiconductor closed test equipment projects and high-performance wet lithium battery diaphragm projects, injecting "fresh blood" into the development of lithium power industry in the park.

In order to create an innovation platform and improve the scientific and technological research and development level of lithium power industry in Suining, the Suining Research Institute of Lithium Power and New Materials of Chongqing University was officially established on October 26, 2021. At present, the research institute has installed more than 20 kinds of facilities and equipment, such as convenient constant temperature drying box, vacuum drying box, automatic folding machine, mixing mixer and so on, and is expected to realize the industrial incubation of key new energy products by the end of 2023. In addition, the academy has introduced eight academic and technical leaders, such as academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, "Yangtze River Scholars" of the Ministry of Education, and winners of the Outstanding Youth Fund, and trained 6 doctoral students and 10 postgraduates of lithium electricity. it is expected that more than 20 high-level talents of various types of lithium electricity will be delivered to Suining within five years.

It is reported that Suining High-tech Zone is speeding up the formulation of relevant preferential policies such as factor guarantee, scientific and technological innovation, and talent recruitment to promote the rapid growth of enterprises and cultivate competitive high-tech industrial clusters. In the next step, Suining High-tech Zone will speed up the cultivation of leading lithium enterprises, gradually improve the lithium industry chain, and actively integrate into the development pattern of lithium power industry in Suining.
