On March 28, 30 A-share companies announced their first-quarter results, of which 28 expected Q1 net profit to be positive compared with the same period last year. Only Zhongke Star Chart did not disclose net profit, and the company expects Q1 revenue to grow by 40-55% year-on-year. The relevant agencies have sorted out 11 companies with a pre-increase of more than 50% in the lower limit of Q1 net profit compared with the same period last year, of which five companies belong to the lithium material sector, and the pre-increase in net profit (upper or lower limit) is more than double.

These companies are: Shengxin LiNeng, Dingsheng New Materials, New Zebang, Shanshan shares, Jiayuan Technology. Shengxin Lithium Energy has the largest increase, with Q1 net profit expected to increase more than seven times year-on-year. The company's Q4 net profit in 2021 is 312 million yuan. Based on this, the net profit in the first quarter of 2022 is expected to increase 188% over the previous quarter.

Benefit from the high scenery of new energy vehicles, lithium electricity upstream companies intensive pre-growth

In the announcement, a number of lithium materials suppliers mentioned that they benefited from the continuous improvement of the prosperity of the new energy vehicle industry.

Sheng Xin LiNeng said that during the reporting period, the new energy industry developed rapidly, downstream customers' demand for lithium salt increased strongly, the price of lithium salt products continued to rise, and the company's lithium salt business profit increased significantly compared with the same period last year.

Dingsheng New material is a leading supplier of aluminum foil for batteries in China, and its customers include Ningde Times, BYD, LGC and other mainstream battery factories. Benefiting from the high growth of the new energy vehicle market, the battery aluminum foil shows growth.

Dingsheng New Materials said in the announcement that the downstream demand for power battery aluminum foil continues to be strong, and the company continues to speed up the conversion of low value-added production lines to the production of power battery aluminum foil, with a substantial increase in production and sales compared with the same period last year. "the added value of battery aluminum foil products is relatively higher, promoting the growth of the company's overall profits."

In addition, aluminum foil is used in both positive and negative current collectors of sodium ion battery. if it is commercialized, the demand for aluminum foil will be greatly increased in the future.

Electrolyte supplier New Zebang and anode material supplier Shanshan Co., Ltd. are also beneficiaries of the strong demand for new energy vehicles:

New Zebang said that the reporting period mainly benefited from the continuous improvement of the new energy vehicle industry, the strong market demand for the company's battery chemicals business, and a substantial increase in production and sales compared with the same period last year to improve the company's profitability.

In addition, the new Zebang also opened up the semiconductor materials business, the company revealed that its organic fluorine chemicals business main products and in semiconductors and other areas of fluorine-containing new products sales scale expansion, to promote the company's business performance.

Shanshan also said that thanks to the continuous improvement of the prosperity of the new energy automobile industry and the strong market demand downstream of the negative materials business, the company seized the market opportunities and, with leading technology and high-quality products, the company's products were in short supply, and the production, sales and operating performance of negative materials increased year-on-year.

According to relevant news, the Chinese fir negative electrode has regained the first place in artificial graphite shipments in 21 years, and it is a well-deserved negative pole leader. At present, the supply of negative electrode graphitization is tight. With the company's Baotou project put into production, the graphitization self-supply rate will increase significantly, and it is expected to achieve a simultaneous increase in volume and price.

In addition, the lithium copper foil project of Jiayuan Technology mainly serves the needs of high-quality customers such as Ningde era, BYD and Funeng, and plus PCB high-end copper foil. The overall production capacity of the company is constantly increasing, and the first production line with an annual output of 5000 tons of high-performance copper foil project with an annual output of 15000 tons has been successfully reached during the reporting period.
