On November 2, Wanxiang Group officially reported that the No. 3 factory building of Wanxiang innovative Ju Neng City No. 6 manufacturing base has begun to take shape. The first phase of the purification and decoration of the 80g watt-hour lithium battery project entered the market in an orderly manner according to the plan, and made every effort to grasp the progress of the project. to lay a solid foundation for the smooth commissioning of the project.

It is reported that Wanxiang Innovation Energy City is located in Xiaoshan Science and Technology City, involving 12 key construction projects, such as lithium-ion power batteries, new energy passenger vehicles, international financial and technology community, smart city CBD community, research institute, etc. According to the information previously announced, Wanxiang innovative Energy City Battery and Energy Storage Project will build a new NMP purification plant and an electrolyte allocation plant, 17 UNIT two-story plant and underground space, and introduce the international leading automatic battery production line, while supporting domestic equipment and public works facilities to form an annual battery production capacity of 80GWh. In that year, the investment amount of the project was 6.5 billion yuan.

In addition, another 5.122 billion yuan of investment will make full use of underground space and be equipped with a battery energy storage system to carry out research on energy multipole utilization and management based on the underlying technology of the block chain, so as to provide a market-oriented environment for energy transformation and energy efficiency improvement.

It is understood that Wanxiang Group was founded in 1969 and has developed into a multinational group covering auto parts, clean energy, modern agriculture and other fields. It has successively invested in American A123 battery (later renamed Wanxiang 123), KARMA luxury electric vehicle, and jointly with the top international scientific research institutions to carry out research on clean energy cutting-edge technology. At present, the company's lithium-ion battery business is mainly carried out through Wanxiang 123. the company has R & D, manufacturing bases and sales outlets in Michigan and Massachusetts in the United States, Hangzhou in China, Stuttgart in Germany and Ostrafa in the Czech Republic. Provide a full range of power battery solutions for new energy vehicle manufacturers.

In 2019, Wanxiang Group officially started construction of Wanxiang innovative Energy City with an investment of 200 billion yuan.

Wanxiang Group said that at present, the renovation work of Wanxiang innovative Ju Neng City is in full swing, and it is expected that the first phase of the annual 80GWh lithium battery project will have equipment entry conditions by the end of January next year, full-line equipment commissioning in March, and trial production in June. At the same time, the second phase of the battery project has also been launched, which is closely connected with the process design in advance in the architectural design stage to ensure the best production efficiency and the lowest cost. After technical communication with a number of design institutes, the design plan has begun to take shape, and it is planned to start the construction of the first factory building in June next year.
