Recently, Ningde era has joined hands with a number of central enterprises to develop energy storage business.

On October 22, Ningde Times and China Huadian Group Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing. Tan Libin, senior vice president of Ningde time Group, and Wu Jingkai, member of the party group and deputy general manager of China Huadian, signed the agreement on behalf of both sides. According to the agreement, the two sides will adhere to the principles of "compliance with the law, equality and voluntariness, complementary advantages, market leadership, mutual benefit and win-win results", give full play to their respective resources and business advantages, and strengthen cooperation in brands, markets, technology and products in the fields of energy storage, new energy and comprehensive intelligent energy, adhere to coordinated development, and actively contribute to China's energy transformation and development.

In addition, Ningde Times recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the National Energy Group, and the two sides will deepen cooperation in the development of new energy industry, the construction of intelligent energy, the construction of energy storage technology and standard system, and international business development. Wang Xiangxi, secretary of the party group of the State Energy Group, expressed the hope that the two sides will take this strategic cooperation as a new starting point to deepen cooperation in such areas as "scenery fire storage", "scenery water storage" and comprehensive intelligent energy, so as to help build a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy system.

It is worth noting that the news that Huawei had signed up for the world's largest energy storage project once triggered a surge in the concept of energy storage in the A-share market, and there were signs that the bets of the domestic industry giants on the energy storage track were increasing, and the attention of the relevant sectors of the A-share market was also increasing.

The main reason why energy storage is valued is that it is a general trend for renewable energy to become the main energy in the future, but the intermittent and random characteristics of new energy such as photovoltaic and wind power are more obvious, and energy storage can ensure the stability of the power system. there are related applications in the generation side, Electroweb test and user side. In addition, the time-sharing electricity price mechanism also greatly increases the demand for energy storage and installation.

Changjiang Securities Research News pointed out that while the overseas energy storage market has entered the inflection point, domestic energy storage has also ushered in a clear policy inflection point. Specifically:

1. The NDRC issued the guidance on accelerating the Development of New Energy Storage at the beginning of the year, which will drive the growth of domestic energy storage from three aspects: establishing a compensation mechanism for power auxiliary services, promoting the reform of capacity electricity price mechanism, transmission and distribution price recovery, and peak-valley electricity price policy, and promoting the allocation and storage of market-oriented grid-connected renewable energy projects.

2. At present, the reforms that have been implemented are time-of-use electricity price reform and generation-side configuration of energy storage, in which time-sharing electricity price reform widens the price gap between peak and valley, which helps users to cut peak and fill valley demand growth, but suitable projects are still the key to development. The allocation and storage on the generation side defines the rights, responsibilities and configuration requirements of the market-oriented project. combined with indicators and economic judgment, it will enter an explosive period in 2024.

The real demand on Electroweb side is already very urgent, as can be seen from the requirements and policies to encourage supporting energy storage issued in various places from 2020 to 2021, so if the follow-up capacity electricity price mechanism and transmission and distribution price recovery policy are implemented, Electroweb side is expected to become the key to the high-quality development of domestic energy storage in the medium term.

Changjiang Securities expects domestic energy storage capacity to reach 50-55 GWH by 2025, achieving a compound growth rate of 70% and 80%.

In terms of related investment opportunities, the Open Source Securities Research News points out that the prosperity of the energy storage industry is on the rise, and three types of energy storage companies are expected to enjoy dividends:

1. Battery-end enterprises: Ningde era, BYD, Yiwei Lithium Energy, Guoxuan Hi-Tech, Penghui Energy, Pai Energy Technology (benefit from the depth of energy storage for overseas households);

2. Energy storage project developers and integrators: Yongfu Co., Ltd., China Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd.

3. Energy storage equipment enterprises (core equipment take inverter as an example): sunshine Power supply, Kelu Electronics, Shenghong Co., Jinlang Technology, Gu Dewei, Deye Co., Ltd., Nebula Co., Ltd.

Zheshang Securities pointed out that energy storage, as a flexible power regulation resource, has long-term, positive and irreplaceable social value in the global low-carbon transformation process of new energy replacing traditional fossil energy. In auxiliary services such as new energy consumption and peak regulation and frequency regulation, the technical necessity of improving the flexibility and stability of Electroweb system has been fully verified.
