Today, the A-share three major stock indexes opened lower collectively, each plate generally fell, and nearly 4,000 stocks floated green. The energy storage sector rose sharply in early trading, but fell under pressure after 10:00. Among stocks, by about 14:30, Ketai Power was up 11%, Shouhang Hi-Tech and Guodian were up by their daily limit, and Heshun Electric was up more than 5%. Deye shares, Penghui Energy, Minde Electronics, Jinlang Technology rose more than 4%, while the rest were up and down by half.

On the news side, the National Energy Administration issued a notice yesterday on the issuance of the "New Energy Storage Project Management Code (interim)". The document points out that the new power battery echelon utilization energy storage project must follow the concept of the whole life cycle, establish the battery consistency management and traceability system, and obtain the safety assessment report issued by the corresponding qualification organization for the echelon utilization of the battery. In addition, the document also pointed out that Electroweb enterprises should provide Electroweb access services for new energy storage projects fairly and without discrimination.

Guosheng Securities pointed out that the biggest change in the "interim Management measures" compared with the "draft for soliciting opinions" is that the condition of "energy storage projects for external services" is limited in the scope of application, which is managed through the boundary of energy storage services. it not only provides a more flexible development space for energy storage, but also will better guide the safe, orderly and healthy development of new energy storage, and protect the large-scale development of energy storage.

Energy storage refers to the process of storing energy through a medium or device and releasing it when needed. At present, in the installation of domestic energy storage, electrochemical energy storage is developing rapidly. according to data from Sino-Thai Securities, by the end of 2020, the cumulative installed capacity of domestic energy storage was 35.6GW, an increase of 9.8% over the same period last year, of which the cumulative scale of pumping energy storage was the largest, reaching 31.8 GW, an increase of 4.9% over the same period last year, followed by electrochemical energy storage, with a cumulative scale of 3.3 GW, an increase of 91.2% over the same period last year. In the electrochemical energy storage technology, the cumulative installed scale of lithium-ion battery is the largest, which is 2.9GW, accounting for 89%.

Zhongtai Securities pointed out that at present, the installed scale of pumping energy storage accounts for more than 90%, but there are some problems, such as geographical location limitation, long construction period of power station, large pre-investment, and so on. Electrochemical energy storage has the advantages of small geographical location restrictions, short construction period and continuous decline in cost, and is expected to become the mainstream in the future. Lithium electric energy storage is the most widely used in electrochemical energy storage because of its long service life and high energy density.

Recently, policies on the field of energy storage have been issued continuously. The "guidance on accelerating the Development of New Energy Storage" issued by the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration has realized the transformation of new energy storage from the initial stage of commercialization to large-scale development by 2025, while the installed capacity should reach more than 30 million kilowatts (30GW). Guosheng Securities pointed out that energy storage is an important means to stabilize the impact of fluctuations in the output of new energy on Electroweb, and it is also an important support to cope with the increase in the local load of Electroweb in the process of electrification transformation. After ensuring security and economy, installed demand is expected to achieve a large-scale rapid increase, helping the energy transformation process.

In terms of performance, the sales revenue of the energy storage system in the Ningde era, the leader of the energy storage battery, increased by 727.36% in the first half of the year compared with the same period last year; the operating income of the solar energy storage system in the leading energy storage inverter increased by 267.38% over the same period last year. Huafu Securities points out that the energy storage business of both companies is growing rapidly. At the same time, according to the characteristics of the new energy industry, the overall growth rate in the second half of the year is significantly faster than that in the first half, so for the whole year, the growth of energy storage business is expected to exceed expectations, and the energy storage industry is expected to usher in the first year
