[consumer lithium battery leader IPO successfully plans to raise 3.2 billion yuan to develop lithium battery business] on the evening of Sept. 7, the official WeChat of the Securities Regulatory Commission said that it agreed to register the initial public offering of Science and Technology Innovation Board of Zhuhai Guanyu Battery Co., Ltd. in accordance with legal procedures, which means that the consumer lithium battery leader IPO has passed the meeting successfully.

SMM, Sept. 9: on the evening of Sept. 7, the official WeChat of the Securities Regulatory Commission announced that it had agreed to register the initial public offering of Science and Technology Innovation Board of Zhuhai Guanyu Battery Co., Ltd. in accordance with legal procedures, meaning that the consumer lithium battery leader had passed the meeting successfully.

According to the prospectus, Zhuhai Guanyu plans to issue 156 million shares and raise 3.249 billion yuan. In the future, it will all be used for the construction project of Zhuhai polymer lithium battery production base, Chongqing lithium battery cell packaging production line project, R & D center upgrading project and supplementary liquidity.

According to public data, Zhuhai Guanyu is mainly engaged in the research, development, production and sales of consumer polymer soft package lithium-ion batteries. At the same time, the company has also laid out the field of power lithium-ion batteries. Its products are mainly used in notebook computers, smart wearable devices, drones, car start-stop systems and other fields.

Up to now, Zhuhai Guanyu has become one of the world's leading consumer polymer soft package lithium-ion battery industry by providing long-term quality services to the world's first-class notebook computer and smartphone brands in the consumer battery field. Zhuhai Guanyu ranks second in the global shipments of lithium-ion batteries for notebooks and tablets in 2020, and ranks fifth in the world for smartphone lithium-ion battery shipments.

According to the prospectus, the company's revenue in the three years from 2018 to 2020 was 4.747 billion yuan, 5.331 billion yuan and 6.964 billion yuan respectively, but it is admirable that in the first half of 2021 alone, Zhuhai Guanyu achieved revenue of 5.086 billion yuan, almost close to the revenue for the whole of 2019, an increase of 88.63% over the same period last year and a net profit of 576 million yuan, an increase of 126.58% over the same period last year.

As a result, it is not difficult to find that Zhuhai Guanyu's business capacity has skyrocketed in recent years. With the growth of the demand for 3C lithium batteries, Zhuhai Guanyu is also expanding its production capacity in order to seize a larger market share. At the beginning of this year, Zhuhai Guanyu soft package polymer lithium battery intelligent manufacturing project held a grand groundbreaking ceremony.

It is reported that the project is divided into two phases, with an investment of about 2 billion yuan in the first phase, and is expected to be built and put into production within three years. After it is put into production, it can increase the annual production capacity of 150 million soft-package polymer lithium batteries for the company.

At the same time, the company is also actively laying out the power battery business, which is mainly carried out by its wholly-owned subsidiary Guanyu Power Battery. At present, the company has successfully developed 270Wh/kg high specific energy battery for pure electric vehicles with excellent performance; in the field of energy storage, the company has also developed 175Wh/kg lithium iron phosphate system and improved the product life and high and low temperature adaptability.
