SMM July 23: it is reported that the UK factory of Green Lithium, a British mineral processing company, has recently successfully produced the company's first batch of battery-grade lithium hydroxide products!
It is reported that the plant has an annual production capacity of 50, 000 tons of lithium hydroxide, and when it is fully put into operation in the future, it will be enough to support the production of electric vehicles of more than 1 million tons per year.
More admirably, Richard Taylor, the company's founding director, proudly said that the company's product process is more environmentally friendly and can produce high-quality lithium products than those currently used in East Asian factories.
It is reported that the company produces battery-grade lithium products through its proprietary processing technology, which uses sulfate-free and acid-free processes to produce only inert mineral by-products. It can also use heat recovery to reduce carbon intensity in the refining process and introduce hydrogen into its energy mix.
Green lithium says it can provide "missing links" in the electric car supply chain by building and operating factories in the UK.
