Among them, the company's Yiliping lithium mining area is a large comprehensive salt lake deposit dominated by liquid lithium ore and co-existing with boron, potassium, magnesium and other beneficial components. The salt lake type is magnesium sulfate subtype salt lake, with lithium reserves of about 1.8 million tons (equivalent to 1.6 million tons of lithium carbonate), ranking fifth among domestic salt lakes and fourth in Qinghai salt lake. In terms of lithium resource grade, it ranks third in domestic salt lake and second in Qinghai salt lake. In addition, the company has potassium resources reserves of about 17 million tons and boric acid resources reserves of about 900000 tons.

In terms of lithium projects, Minmetals Salt Lake has controlled its full cost within 30,000 yuan, entering the top 80% of the global quantile, and continues to develop and expand major customers and high-quality customers such as German Nano, Bertre, Xiamen Tungsten Industry and Hunan Yuneng. Through unremitting efforts, now Minmetals Salt Lake's market position and share continue to improve, and its output has ranked second in domestic salt lakes.

In recent years, Minmetals Salt Lake has continuously increased its investment in the project. In August 2017, the company's annual output of 200 tons of lithium carbonate products was put off the line, and the 10,000 tons of lithium carbonate project was fully started in March 2018. In September 2018, the company completed the main body of the 10,000 tons / year lithium carbonate project and started a single machine test run. In April 2019, the 10,000 tons / year lithium carbonate project was pre-solidified and entered formal production. After 10 years of hard work, all the projects have been completed on schedule, and the investment is expected to be saved by 260 million yuan, and the production has been reached in an all-round way.

The investment of major manufacturers is relatively large, and high nickel will also dominate the growth of ternary materials in recent years. At present, there are also salt lake enterprises studying the extraction of lithium hydroxide directly from brine, perhaps using bipolar membrane method, which is still in the process of experiment, but the environmental protection problems related to production also need to be paid attention to. If large-scale production, it may not be easy to achieve in recent years.
In addition, for "is the recovery rate of lithium extracted from raw halogen really high?" In doubt, Minmetals Salt Lake said that at present, the results of lithium extraction from raw brine of Minmetals have been identified, and the yield of lithium extraction from original halogen is also high. The grade of our raw bittern is higher than that of old bittern. In terms of recovery rate, the recovery rate of old brine in the process of drying in salt field is about 40%. The extraction of lithium from the original halogen saves the drying process, and the recovery rate of 70% can be guaranteed in the later stage of extraction of lithium.
Finally, on the question of "whether the salt lake will stop production in winter", Minmetals Salt Lake said that winter actually does not have much impact on lithium extraction production, but does not rule out the possibility that some enterprises will be affected by local natural gas restrictions. as natural gas needs to be given priority to people's livelihood, it will hinder the production of some enterprises, and brine extraction will affect the yield because of crystallization.
