On the evening of June 29th, the CSRC announced that, in accordance with legal procedures, it has recently agreed to the initial public offering registration of Science and Technology Innovation Board, Hunan long-term Lithium Co., Ltd. (referred to as: long-term Lithium) and Xiamen Xiamen Tungsten New Energy Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as: Xiamen Tungsten Xinneng).

Long-term lithium department

Long-term Lithium Co., Ltd. was founded in 2002, is the world's top 500 enterprises China Minmetals Group Co., Ltd., the main products include ternary cathode materials and precursors, lithium cobalt oxide cathode materials, nodular nickel and so on. The company has three production bases: Lugu base, Tongguan base and high-tech base.

The IPO, long-term Lithium Company plans to raise 2.718 billion yuan, which will be used for the first phase of the expansion project of automotive lithium battery cathode materials (1.918 billion yuan to be invested) and supplementary working capital (800 million yuan to be invested).

According to the registration draft of long-term Lithium Department, the main body of the first phase of the project of expanding the production of cathode materials for automotive lithium batteries is long-term new energy, with an investment of 1.918 billion yuan in the construction of the project. The project introduces domestic advanced equipment with stable and reliable performance, and will build a production line of lithium-ion ternary cathode materials with an annual output of 40,000 tons. After the project reaches production, the company's production capacity of ternary cathode materials will be greatly increased.

Battery net has learned that long-term Lithium has entered the field of ternary cathode materials since 2011. focusing on high-efficiency battery cathode materials, it has developed and mastered a number of core technologies, such as ternary precursor coprecipitation technology, high-voltage NCM preparation technology, high-voltage lithium cobalt preparation technology and so on.

After years of technical accumulation and industrialization experience, long-term Lithium has formed a first-mover advantage in the field of ternary cathode materials, and has successfully entered the supplier system of mainstream lithium battery manufacturers such as Ningde era, BYD, Yiwei Lithium Energy, Xinwanda and other mainstream lithium battery manufacturing enterprises. and stabilize and deepen customer cooperation through continuous technical optimization and product iteration.

The Battery Network noted that in terms of future development goals, from 2022 to 2025, the long-term lithium cathode materials project will be completed with a production capacity of 110000 tons, and the market share of power ternary materials will remain the first in the world (more than 20%). Timely develop other system cathode materials to form a combination of multi-materials, supplemented by manganese, iron and cobalt, forming industry influence and competitiveness in digital and energy storage fields.

Xiamen tungsten new energy

Xiamen Tungsten Xinneng, formerly known as the Battery Materials Division of Xiamen Tungsten Industry, has been developing and producing cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries since 2004, and established a new company in December 2016 to operate independently. It has become a subsidiary of Xiamen tungsten industry specializing in the R & D, production and sales of cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries. The company's main products are lithium cobalt, nickel, cobalt and manganese ternary materials.

This time, IPO, Xiamen Tungsten Xinneng plans to raise 1.5 billion yuan to invest in the industrialization project of lithium-ion battery materials with an annual output of 40000 tons (phase I and II) (900 million yuan to be invested and raised), as well as supplementary working capital (600 million yuan to be invested).

According to the registration draft of Xiamen Tungsten Xinneng, the industrialization project of lithium-ion battery materials with an annual production capacity of 40000 tons is divided into three phases, of which the first and second phases (with a total production capacity of 20000 tons / year, with a total investment of 1.848 billion yuan) are used as this fund-raising project, and the new production capacity is high-nickel NCM ternary materials. through the optimization of production equipment and production process, the performance of the company's high-nickel NCM ternary materials can be improved.

Battery Network has learned that Xiamen Tungsten Xinneng has expanded many well-known lithium battery customers at home and abroad with the help of technological R & D advantages and product quality advantages accumulated over the years of technology research and development and production practice. In the field of 3C lithium battery, the company has established stable cooperative relations with domestic and foreign well-known battery companies such as ATL, Samsung SDI, Murata, LGC, Xin Wanda, Zhuhai Guanyu and BYD, and the products are widely used in downstream middle and high-end 3C electronic products; in the field of power lithium battery, the company has established stable cooperative relations with well-known battery companies such as Panasonic, BYD, Ningde Times, AVIC Lithium, Yiwei Lithium Energy and Guoxuan Tech.

In addition to long-term Lithium and Xiamen Tungsten Xineng, Science and Technology Innovation Board cathode material manufacturer also Rongbai Technology (688005). Rongbai Technology, founded in September 2014, is the first listed company of cathode materials launched by Science and Technology Innovation Board. Its main products include NCM523, NCM622, NCM811, NCA and other ternary cathode materials and their precursors. According to the development strategy of Rongbai Technology, by 2025, the company will expand the production capacity of high nickel cathode to more than 300000 tons and build manufacturing bases in Europe and North America to better serve international strategic customers.
