ANTAM raises Nickel and Gold production Target Nickel Mine Target to increase 77% compared with the same period last year

, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM; IDX:ANTM; ASX:ATM) recently issued an announcement that the company's production and sales targets for its main products of ferronickel, nickel, gold and bauxite will increase in 2021. As far as nickel-iron commodities are concerned, the goal of ANTAM is to produce and sell 26000 tons of nickel-iron in Ni-Fe (TNi), which is relatively stable, and the unaudited production and sales of nickel-iron will reach 25970 TNi and 26163 TNi in 2020. The Ferro-Nickel production target is in line with ANTAM's strategy to improve production optimization at the Pomalaa Ferro-Nickel plant in southeastern Sulawesi.

In terms of nickel ore commodities, ANTAM plans to achieve 8.44 million wet tons of nickel ore in 2021, an increase of 77 per cent over the unaudited 4.76 million tons of nickel ore production in 2020. The increase in nickel production target will be used as ore raw material for ANTAM Ferro Nickel Plant and sold to customers in the domestic market. At the same time, the sales target for nickel ore in 2021 is 6.71 million tons, an increase of 104 per cent over the 3.3 million tons of nickel ore in 2020. Since the further growth in the completion of nickel processing facilities, the increase in nickel ore sales targets is in line with the optimistic demand for nickel prospects in the domestic market.

In terms of gold commodities, ANTAM plans to produce 1.37 tons of gold from the Pongkor and Cibaliung mines by 2021, with a target sales volume of 18 tons. In 2021, ANTAM is committed to developing domestic gold customers, which is consistent with the positive growth awareness of gold investment and the positive growth demand for the company's gold products in the domestic market. ANTAM continues to innovate Logam Mulia gold products, such as the launch of the Golden Lunar Calendar version of the year of the Ox in early February 2021. MetalOx limited edition precious metal products are launched to welcome the Lunar New year in 2021. These innovations are part of the company's efforts to increase the added value of its products and continue to achieve positive gold sales.

In terms of bauxite commodities, ANTAM aims to produce 3 million tonnes of bauxite in 2021, up 93 per cent from the unaudited 1.55 million tonnes in 2020. The increase in bauxite production in 2021 will be used in alumina production and sold to a third customer. At the same time, the sales target for bauxite in 2021 is 2.73 million tons, an increase of 122 per cent over the unaudited 1.23 million tons in 2020. The increase in bauxite sales meets the market demand.
