The plant will initially produce 10 tons of lithium a year, but its annual production capacity is expected to reach nearly 600 tons in the next few years.

Lithium will be used to make parts of electric vehicles developed by Turkiye 'nin Otomobili Girisim Grubu (TOGG). TOGG was established in June 2018 by local companies Anadolu Group, BMC, Kok Group, Turkcell and Zorlu Group at the initiative of the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Commodity Exchange Alliance (tob).
