New Century Financing $53 Million to Restart World’s Third Largest Zinc Mine

SHANGHAI, Nov.9 (SMM)－New Century Resources has completed $52.9 million private placement to restart Century zinc mine in Queensland. Currently the feasibility research is being conveyed on the restart work of current processing plant, which is estimated to be completed within this month. The feasibility research also includes converting tailings of Century’s measured quantity of resource into reserves. The mine was one the world’s third largest zinc mine before closure in 2016, with over 2.6 million tonnes zinc and 700,000 tonnes lead.
