SHANGHAI, Sept. 11 (SMM) – Henan Province has released Industrial Enterprise Off-Peak Production Implementation Program in Autumn and Winter 2017-2018 (draft for comments).
China Alumina Output Jumps in August, Despite Ore Shortage, SMM Reports
According to the program, local 13 aluminum smelters shall cut capacity by over 30% based on the number of electrolytic cells during Nov. 15, 2017-Mar. 15, 2018. Meanwhile, local 11 alumina producers shall slash capacity by over 30% based on the number of production lines. Regulators will conduct on-site checks to find whether capacity is cut in compliance with regulations.
