SHANGHAI, Mar. 18 (SMM) – Five factors will pose impact on lead concentrate supply in China in 2016, an SMM lead-zinc analyst said at the 2016 (11th) Shanghai Lead & Zinc Summit March 17.

1. Overseas mine closure and output cut at global miners will negatively affect lead concentrate imports in China.

2. Production at Chinese miners, who are facing heavy pressure, will not post notable growth this year.

3. Sanction on Korea will contain the country’s exports to China.

4. High production enthusiasm at domestic lead producers is to generate strong demand for concentrate.

5. Import processing trade ban on silver concentrate has been abolished.
