China Copper Concentrate Output to Fall Further in November on Growing Losses

China’s copper concentrate output will continue falling in November as tumbling copper prices have exacerbated losses on domestic mines, SMM predicts.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 24 (SMM) –China’s copper concentrate output will continue falling in November as tumbling copper prices have exacerbated losses on domestic mines, SMM predicts. 

China produced 155,000 tonnes of copper concentrate in October, little changed from September, but down 5.7% from a year ago, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed. Output totaled 1.44 million tonnes during the first ten months of the year, down 5.49% year-on-year.
