Hoa Phat Dung Quat Integrated Steel Complex upgraded its QSP® line with Danieli’s Seven-Life Hydraulic Side Guides to enhance rolling stability and hot-rolled coil (HRC) quality. This phase two modernization builds on a line that has produced over 6 million tonnes since 2020. Post-upgrade, the line achieved a continuous casting speed of 6 m/min while maintaining a minimum strip thickness of 1.2 mm. Annual capacity expanded from 3.5 million tonnes to 3.9 million tonnes, covering low- and medium-carbon, LC/MC HSLA steel grades, and weathering steel.

Pomina Steel's shareholders approved a revival plan targeting VND 8.51 trillion in revenue for 2026 and VND 13.19 trillion for 2027, representing roughly fourfold and sixfold annual increases. This is backed by a projected construction steel output of 643,750 tonnes in 2026 and 997,500 tonnes in 2027. Forecasting EBITDA at VND 474 billion in 2026 and VND 941 billion in 2027, the recovery is driven by a two-year cooperation agreement with Vinhomes, securing working capital for the Pomina 3 plant. Pomina commenced shipments to Vingroup projects like VinFast and VinMetal, while creditors waived interest payments to aid financial stabilization.

Azule Energy, an Eni and BP joint venture, selected Vallourec to supply over 26,000 tonnes of seamless carbon steel line pipes for Angola's Greater PAJ offshore project. Spanning 210 km for various networks, shipments are scheduled for H2 2027. To withstand 1,500-2,000m water depths, the pipes will feature up to 120mm thick Glass Syntactic Polypropylene (GSPP) insulation.
