Going Global at Full Speed! Wenjing Energy's Self-Developed Fuel Cell System Successfully Deployed Outside China — Chinese Hydrogen Energy Equipment Goes Global

Published: Apr 29, 2026 10:50

Recently, theSF210 large power fuel cell system independently developed by Shanghai Wenjing Energy officially completed its delivery outside China, being successfully shipped to clients outside China. This marks a critical step in the enterprise's global development strategy and fully demonstrates thetechnological strength and international competitiveness of domestically manufactured core fuel cell equipment.

The SF210 delivered this time is Wenjing Energy's flagship hydrogen energy power product, deeply drawing on the enterprise's long-term hydrogen energy technology R&D and industrialisation experience, and adapted to multi-scenario commercialisation needs. Leveraging China's hydrogen energy industrial policy guidance and centering on the nationally proposed **"1+N+X" hydrogen energy comprehensive application development framework**, this fuel cell system achieves full-scenario coverage: it can meet general transportation scenarios for fuel cell vehicles such as medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles and cold chain logistics vehicles, adapt to diverse industrial applications including green ammonia-methanol, hydrogen-based chemicals, hydrogen metallurgy, and hydrogen-blended combustion, while continuously expanding innovative hydrogen energy deployment models to suit different market application needs in and outside China.

Leveraging a highly modular architecture and mature technical solutions, the SF210 can provide global clients withhighly reliable, low hydrogen consumption, and easily expandableintegrated hydrogen energy supporting solutions, accelerating the green and low-carbon upgrade process across industries.

In terms of core performance, this product features outstanding comprehensive advantages and exceptional adaptability. Regarding power performance, the system has arated power of 212kW and peak power of up to 223kW, meeting the high-load operation demands of heavy-duty vehicles, with a normal-temperature start-up time of only 5 seconds and rapid power response. In terms of energy efficiency, the maximum power generation efficiency reaches61.3%, with a rated-point efficiency of 44.9%, effectively reducing operational hydrogen consumption and enhancing overall economic benefits.

Environmental adaptability and durability performance are equally impressive. The equipment can operate stably at full load within a **wide temperature range of -35°C to 45°C** and at altitudes of up to 2,000 metres. The core stack has a service life of up to 20,000 hours, and key components of the complete unit achieve IP67 protection rating, adapting to various complex and harsh operating conditions. Meanwhile, the equipment comes standard with a T-BOX intelligent terminal, supporting remote data collection, fault diagnosis, and operation & maintenance services, significantly enhancing post-operation support capabilities.

The strong product competitiveness stems from a solid foundation of industry-academia-research integration. Wenjing Energy's core R&D team, drawing on over twenty years of technological accumulation from theFuel Cell Research Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, has achieved technological breakthroughs across the entire chain including material R&D, electrochemical technology, and system integration, building a complete system from fundamental research to industrial implementation. This product delivered outside China is a significant commercialisation achievement of university-enterprise collaborative innovation.

In terms of quality control, the SF210 was designed and verified in strict accordance with multiple national industry standards, with comprehensive testing on environmental adaptability, electromagnetic compatibility, safety performance, and other dimensions conducted jointly with authoritative automobile detection institutions in Shanghai. The product's insulation performance and electromagnetic protection indicators all meet standards, fully complying with market access requirements outside China, ensuring the safety, compliance, and stable operation of exported products.

In terms of hardware integration and safety design, the equipment adopts a compact modular design with a rational overall layout and convenient vehicle integration. The electrical architecture is well-configured, with flexible and efficient communication modes. Meanwhile, the product has established a protection system aroundeight major safety dimensions including high-voltage electricity, hydrogen leakage, high-temperature protection, and collision protection, complemented by a tiered fault warning and response mechanism, achieving round-the-clock risk monitoring and comprehensively fortifying operational safety defences.

The successful global delivery of the SF210 fuel cell system represents an important milestone in Wenjing Energy's internationalisation strategy. Going forward, the enterprise will continue to focus on hydrogen energy core technology R&D, continuously optimise its hydrogen energy power product portfolio, empower the global energy transition with premium domestically manufactured intelligent equipment, and continuously inject new momentum into zero-carbon industrial development in and outside China.

India to build a six-month strategic stockpile of lithium, cobalt and rare earths as demand rises
Amid sustained demand growth, India plans to build a strategic reserve of critical minerals including lithium, cobalt, nickel, copper and rare earths. The stockpile will be sized to cover six months of domestic consumption, aiming to guard against risks of global supply disruptions and sharp raw material price volatility. Led by India’s Ministry of Mines and Ministry of Heavy Industries, the reserve covers key raw materials essential for new energy vehicles, energy storage and the electronics sector, fields where India currently relies heavily on imports. At present, the United States, China, South Korea and other countries have already established strategic reserve systems for critical minerals.
