[SMM Data] China Iron Ore Port Inventory - 24 April 2026

According to SMM survey, on 23 April, the total inventory across the 10 ports in China tracked by SMM stood at 114.32 million tonnes, marking a week-on-week decrease of 1.16 million tonnes. During this period, coarse fines, lump ore, and pellets experienced minor destocking, while concentrates saw a slight accumulation.

Significant advancements have also been made in completing the final feasibility study for the Weld Range project, which is expected to be finalized in the second half of 2026.

Data released by Eurostat in April indicated that, according to Eurostat's preliminary estimates, seasonally adjusted construction output in the Eurozone decreased by 0.2% in February 2026 compared to January 2026, while output in the wider EU increased by 0.1%. In January 2026, construction output declined by 1.3% in the Eurozone and by 2.1% in the EU. Year-on-year, Eurozone construction output fell by 1.9% in February 2026 compared to February 2025, and EU output declined by 2.0%.
