The project primarily produces silicon carbon anode new materials, with products widely used in new energy, automotive, and energy storage fields. It features high technological content, broad market prospects, large investment scale, high input-output efficiency, relatively low energy consumption, and environmental friendliness.

According to "Xichang Release," Epnuo (Shenzhen) New Energy Technology Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Epnuo") recently held a start production ceremony for its silicon carbon anode new material project located in Xichang County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province.

It is reported that the Xichang Epnuo silicon carbon anode new material project is both a key strategic move for the enterprise to seize market opportunities and expand its strategic layout, and a landmark project for Xichang to capture the new energy trend and position itself in the new material sector. The project mainly produces silicon carbon anode new materials, with products widely used in new energy, automotive, and energy storage fields, featuring high technological content, broad market prospects, large investment scale, high input-output ratio, relatively low energy consumption, and environmental friendliness.

Additionally, according to information released by "Xichang Release" on September 20, 2023, Epnuo's 300,000 mt/year silicon carbon anode new material project officially broke ground in the Xichang Vanadium-Titanium Industrial Park in Liangshan, Sichuan. The project has a total investment of 11 billion yuan, and upon completion, is expected to achieve an annual output value of 35–40 billion yuan, annual tax contributions of 525–600 million yuan, and create 600 local jobs.

Regarding the project investor, Epnuo (Shenzhen) New Energy Technology Group Co., Ltd., established in 2021, is a high-tech new-type technology group enterprise in China specializing in the R&D, production, and sales of silicon carbon anode materials. The company focuses on the R&D, production, and sales of new energy lithium-ion silicon carbon anode materials. Currently, the company has obtained ISO triple-system certification for materials, and some silicon carbon products have passed CNAS detection certification.

Battery Network noted that, in addition to the above Sichuan Liangshan project, Epnuo has also established silicon carbon anode new material projects in Ankang (Shaanxi), Neijiang (Sichuan), Xingtai (Hebei), Fengdu (Chongqing), and Chifeng (Inner Mongolia), among other locations.

Among them, in terms of 2026 project developments, according to "Qinghe Release," the Epnuo 60,000 mt/year silicon carbon anode material project located in Xingtai, Hebei, will commence trial production by the end of June 2026, with a total investment of 2.4 billion yuan and an expected annual revenue exceeding 1 billion yuan after full production. Currently, the project has completed the procurement of intelligent production lines and core equipment, and plans to introduce 3 silicon carbon anode material production lines to produce two core products: vapor-phase silicon carbon and porous carbon.
