【SMM钢铁】欧盟新措施包括将关税翻倍至50%、削减免税配额以及要求标明钢材的原始熔炼和浇注产地，鉴于欧洲是英国钢材的主要出口市场，这些措施对英国钢铁行业构成威胁。专家警告称，若无特定的豁免协议，英国钢铁生产商将相对于其他供应商失去竞争力，可能被迫减少产量和出口量。为应对保护国内产业的需要，英国政府宣布了新措施，将于2026年7月1日生效，将免税进口配额削减60%，并在超出配额时适用50%的关税。然而，该国金属制造商警告称，这些保护主义措施将导致国内制造商和消费者的成本显著增加。

【SMM Steel】Japan's HRP shipments fell 0.2% m-o-m to 641,568t in Feb 2026 but rose 8.5% y-o-y. 76.5% went to domestic market, 23.5% exported. Production was 634,528t. HRS shipments fell 0.7% m-o-m to 1.13Mt, down 7.1% y-o-y. 27.7% domestic, 72.3% exported. Production was 1.08Mt, down 14.5% m-o-m but up 1.5% y-o-y.

【SMM Steel】Nippon Steel begins BF to EAF conversion at Kyushu Works

【SMM Steel】Nippon Steel started converting BF-based production to EAF at its Kyushu Works (Yawata), a major decarbonization step. The project aims to establish the world's first integrated mass production system for high-grade steel using a large-scale EAF. Kyushu will install a ~2 Mt/y crude steel EAF with secondary refining/CC. Construction began; ops start H2 FY2029. Investment: JPY630.2bn. Setouchi Works (Hirohata) will install a 500,000 tonnes/y EAF; Yamaguchi Works (Shunan) a 400,000 tonnes/y EAF.
