【SMM Steel】Brazil's Gerdau launched Gerdau NewEco, a product line to help customers decarbonize. The portfolio uses a production matrix centered on scrap recycling and 100% renewable power. Recycling 10 Mt of scrap annually, Gerdau maintains 0.85 t CO₂e/t steel, half the global average, aiming for 0.82 by 2031. Third-party audits verify data. The initiative provides a competitive solution for businesses navigating the low-carbon transition and circular value chain.
